Akim of the North Kazakhstan region Gauez Nurmukhambetov paid a working visit to the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Petropavlovsk.

The guests were warmly welcomed at the entrance by the school's students, who congratulated them on Nauryz holiday and Renovation Day. During the program, the Governor of the region was presented the mission and key directions of the school's development, as well as told about the international CIS accreditation, Microsoft and KiVa programs. The students presented the project "Abai – the spiritual voice of the 21st century", which has been implemented at the school for the second year. Special attention was paid to the modern educational opportunities of the school. During his visit to Gauez, Nurmukhambetov got acquainted with the school's facilities. Students of NIS Petropavlovsk implement startup projects in the STEM laboratory, participate in robotics competitions, and develop research projects in physics, chemistry, biology, and other subjects. Of particular interest were the flood warning system, Help mate for the Elderly, and social projects.

After reviewing the presented projects, Gauez Nurmukhambetov noted their relevance and importance, emphasizing the need for their further development and implementation into the economy of the country and the region. He also suggested considering the possibility of implementing a number of projects at the regional level in cooperation with various government agencies and organizations.

The teachers of the school presented their scientific research, author's developments and the results of project activities to the governor of the region. The school's guests also got acquainted with the work of the student government.

After reviewing the school's activities and the projects presented, Gauez Nurmukhambetov highly appreciated the work of the teaching staff and students, noting the relevance, practical significance and innovative potential of the developments. The head of the region stressed that such initiatives contribute to the development of education in the region.
