A student of the 9th grade of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Nazarbayev Artur Steiner of Petropavlovsk took the first place at the republican contest of scientific projects in the section "Technology". The student presented the development of a smart assistant for home people "helpmate".

"Helpmate" is a mobile robotic device designed to help older people in their daily lives. The robot is equipped with sensors for falling, gas and water leaks. He responds promptly to potentially dangerous situations. If a risk is detected, the system sends a signal, notifies the user and can transmit information to loved ones or responsible persons. The device supports voice control, reminds you of taking medications, helps you keep in touch with your family, and performs a number of service functions that overwhelm everyday processes. "Helpmate" can be used at home, as well as in social and medical institutions. The development is aimed at improving safety, reducing household risks and providing additional support and communication for people at home. The student's supervisors are Assel Nurmukhanova and Vadim Meshchanov.
