NIS SHARE: A Project to Develop the Research Potential of Rural School Teachers Launched

NIS Almaty–Nauryzbay has launched NIS SHARE, an innovative project aimed at strengthening the research potential of teachers from rural hub schools and enhancing their professional competencies.

Previously, the school had consistently worked to disseminate best teaching practices and provide methodological support to rural schools. One of the key developments this academic year is the introduction of Action Research methodology among teachers from hub schools, enabling them to master the approach and apply it effectively in their everyday teaching practice.

As part of the initial phase, a seminar and training session was held for teachers from the hub schools in the villages of Bakanas and Uzynagash. The NIS Almaty–Nauryzbay team introduced participants to the project’s goals, objectives, key focus areas and implementation stages, and delivered an introductory training session.

The NIS SHARE project aims to foster a research-oriented culture among teachers, help them identify pressing challenges in the educational process, investigate these issues systematically, and develop effective teaching solutions based on research findings. The Action Research methodology enables teachers to reflect on their own practice, evaluate the effectiveness of teaching methods, and identify ways to improve student learning outcomes.

Mentoring support and practical training will continue throughout the project. The training programme is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the Action Research process and help participants master its key stages — from formulating research questions and collecting data to analysing findings and applying the results in their teaching practice.

NIS SHARE is a platform for sharing best teaching practices, strengthening professional collaboration, and contributing to improved educational quality in rural schools. Through collaboration and the exchange of experience, the project will support teachers’ professional growth and promote the systematic integration of research-based approaches into the educational process.
