At Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Uralsk, a ceremonial assembly "Sanaly urpaq – zharqyn bolashaq" ("A Conscious Generation – A Bright Future") was held in honor of September 1, Knowledge Day.
The festive event was attended by the school staff, veteran teachers, members of the Board of Trustees, students and parents, as well as a special guest — Farida Akhmadiyevna, Head of the Department of Educational Work and Children's Rights Protection of the Regional Department of Education.
This academic year, the ranks of seventh-grade students grew by 148 new pupils, forming a new generation of intellectuals. The students were officially introduced to the wider community together with their teacher-organizers-mentors, followed by a spectacular parade of shanyraks.
In her congratulatory speech, School Director Zhuldyz Saparovna highlighted the school's outstanding achievements over the summer and wished the staff and students success in the new academic year. In addition, on behalf of the seventh-graders' parents, Shynar Serikovna offered her heartfelt wishes.
Senior students addressed the seventh-graders with words of guidance reflecting the school's core values and mission, after which they presented them with NIS badges.
The cultural program continued with a performance by the "Ғажайып" ("Gazhайyp") ensemble featuring the "Zhorga" dance, and a vocal performance by Alinur Khamzin with the song "Tugan zher." The future intellectuals kept the atmosphere alive with a colorful flash mob.
At the close of the ceremonial assembly, seventh-graders Aizere Tynyshtyk and Ilkhan Musazhanov, who achieved the highest results in the competitive selection process, were given the honor of ringing the first bell.
Following the Knowledge Day event, each class held educational/homeroom hours dedicated to the occasion.
