To mark the International Day of Older Persons, Grade 9 students, along with coordinators of the school’s “Service to Society” project, Mekeeyeva B.T. and Koken A.A., visited the Municipal State Institution “Centre for the Provision of Special Social Services in the City of Shakhtinsk, Karaganda Region” and organized a festive concert program titled “Our Elders Are Our Precious Treasure!”

During the visit, the students presented a special concert program for the elderly residents. The students performed songs, presented several dance numbers, and demonstrated their creative talents.

For many years, the school has maintained close cooperation with the institution, regularly organizing various joint charitable and social activities. Organizing festive concerts and creative programs for older people, presenting gifts, and expressing warm wishes have become a good tradition at our school. Such meetings help students develop respect for the older generation, kindness and care, as well as a desire to contribute to society.

In addition, students and their parents prepared special gifts for the elderly residents and shared their warm wishes with them.

At the end of the event, the residents of the centre expressed their gratitude to the students, parents, and organizers.

The event “Our Elders Are Our Precious Treasure!” became a meaningful meeting aimed at strengthening intergenerational connections and promoting kindness and compassion.
