A seminar titled “Organizing Collaborative Lesson Planning” was held at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Kyzylorda for heads of subject departments. The event aimed to enhance teaching quality through teamwork and strengthen teachers’ professional capacity.

The seminar was led by the school principal, Akbar Tussupbayev, who emphasized the critical role and responsibility of department leaders in the co-planning process. Using active learning strategies, participants engaged in practical tasks, developed structured lesson plans, and analyzed them according to clear assessment criteria. Key aspects discussed included setting precise learning objectives, differentiating tasks to meet students’ needs, and organizing effective feedback.

The seminar fostered a space for professional dialogue and experience sharing. Participants highlighted that co-planning not only improves lesson quality but also strengthens a collaborative professional culture within the school.

“This seminar helped me better understand the importance of a collaborative environment in planning, the need to consider every team member’s perspective, and the role of effective planning in achieving learning goals. I also recognized the value of guiding questions in keeping group work focused,” noted participant Aigul Mukhanbetkali.
