NIS Student Wins Bronze at National Tennis Tournament
Ruslan Maratzhan, a student at Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Kyzylorda, secured third place at the National Open Tennis Tournament held in Turkistan.
Ruslan began playing tennis at the age of seven after his father took him to his first training session. Since then, the young athlete has competed both in Kazakhstan and internationally, including in ATF and Tennis Europe tournaments.
This year has been particularly eventful for Ruslan. He trained at the Next Level Tennis Academy in Barcelona, where he had the opportunity to practise alongside high-level players and gain valuable international experience.
Ruslan also represented the Kyzylorda Region at the Kazakhstan Cup. His team finished sixth out of 16 participating teams.
For Ruslan, every tournament is not only about achieving results but also an opportunity to analyse his performance, learn from his mistakes and become a stronger player.
His main goal is to become Kazakhstan’s top-ranked tennis player and, in the future, achieve success on the international stage.
